William (Bill) Driggers

William (Bill) Driggers

The Mid-Arkansas Utilities (“MAU”) Board and entire team of officials, directors and employees mourn the loss of Mr. William “Bill” Driggers.  Bill was a vital part of initiating and leading the MAU service community in establishing the water district as it is known today.  Bill’s passion for his work, his unwavering vision for this water system and his servant leadership inspired those who were fortunate enough to be around him.  Bill’s passing leaves a hole in all the lives of those who knew him and MAU sends its deepest condolences to the entire Driggers Family.

Bill was an initiator of the signature gathering required for the establishment of our water system.  Bill served as Commissioner of the Highway 319 Water Association, North Pulaski Waterworks and Mid-Arkansas Utilities.  His compassion, intelligence and inspiration were guiding lights for his fellow commission members.  Without his tireless efforts and leadership, MAU would not be the system that it is today.

We have all lost a dear friend and an unquestioned advocate in Bill.  We will forever be inspired by Bill.  Through our continuing work to provide for and serve the people of the MAU water service area, we will strive to honor and carry forth Bill’s legacy each and everyday.
