Billing Cycles

Mid-Arkansas Utilities has found that many customer are having difficulty distinguishing their particular bill cycle. Below are detailed explanations to help understand your bill cycle:

The first 6 digits (numbers before the dash) are the customer account number. The remaining digits (numbers behind the dash) are considered to be location numbers. Ex. 123456-12345678

The first number of the location number will determine your cycle.

Cycle 5 (Hwy 319)

  • Cycle 5 (Hwy 319) bills will have an "H" in front of the location number. These bills are generated every First Thursday of the month and fall due two weeks later on a Friday.
  • Ex. 123456-H12345678

Cycle 1

  • If your location number starts with 1, 2, or 3 you are considered to be in cycle 1 billing. These bills are generated every First Friday of the month and fall due two weeks later on a Monday.
  • Ex. 123456-12345678

Cycle 2/4

  • If your location number starts with 4, 5, or 6 you are considered to be in cycle 2/4 billing. These bills are generated every Second Friday of the month and fall due two weeks later on a Monday.
  • Ex. 123456-45678900

Cycle 3/6

  • If your location number starts with a 7, 8, or 9 you are considered to be in Cycle 3 & 6 billing. These bills are generated every Third Friday of the month and fall due two weeks later on a Monday.
  • Ex. 123456-78945612

Cycle 7

  •  Your location number could vary from 1-9, these's are our new Smart Meters, meaning that your bills are generated on the First Thursday of every month and falls due two weeks later on a Friday.
